Gladys Knight and her Mormon faith

Gladys Knight shares her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music and the spoken word as she tours the world.  A Canadian newspaper takes a look at Ms. Knight's music and work on behalf of the LDS Church.

She was recently in southern California with her Las Vegas-based multicultural Mormon choir.  The show was fantastic!

LDS Church Genealogical records

An article in today's issue of the Canadian newspaper, The Vancouver Sun,
"The Mormon church has an extraordinary website that includes birth, death and transcribed census records from Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. The census data includes every person living at a particular residence on a given date, providing a nice window into family life in the late 19th and early 20th century, including the children, hired hands, lodgers, and displaced cousins. Hyperlinking makes it easy to cross-reference between databases."

If you're interested in learning more about your family history, I recommend that you visit the Church's genealogy site called Family Search.  That website is constantly being expanded, and the records available are very extensive.  You will be surprised at the information you can find about your ancestors!
