LDS Church promotes self-reliance in Cambodia

Mormons are actively engaged with the Center for Study and Development of Cambodian Agriculture (CEDAC), a local nongovernmental agency (NGO) to promote self-reliance among thousands of poor families in the country.  Self-reliance is a major part of the Church's humanitarian efforts around the world.  People in over 100 villages have become involved in this effort. Participants in the program learn how to develop crops, enhance their farming, and live a clean and prosperous lifestyle.

One of my favorite websites on the subject of self-reliance is Provident Living.  Check it out!  It is a culmination of the Church's efforts to promote self-reliance, health, prosperity, and education among Mormons and non-Mormons alike.
